UTE VAN DER PLAATS CONTEMPORARY JEWELLERY
,My white collections are made of porcelain - the white gold. The backside of all pieces are glazed and easy to wear. The porcelain fronts are not glazed which brings out the very best of this magnificent material: a natural white colour, a fragile appearance with a surprisingly solid character and an almost sensual texture. Unglazed porcelain is however sensitive to colour bleeding, scratches or stains. In order to keep your jewel in a great condition please make sure to follow the following maintenance advises.

Maintenance:

In order to prevent color bleeding please make sure to wear a white or a very light beige shawl over the jewellery if you wear any jackets or anything else on top of a necklace or a brooch! Please refrain from wearing make up on your neck and neckline when wearing a necklace. Make up stains can't be removed. In case of scratches or stains you can start to clean with a simple eraser. Most of small stains and scratches will disappear. In case of heavy staining,  wash the outside of the porcelain pieces carefully with a SOFT sponge or white cloth and a light dishwasher liquid or liquid soap. Take off the soap with a damp white cloth. Do not scratch with nails or tools on the decals and avoid water and soap inside the open pieces. If you want to travel with your porcelain jewellery, please wrap it well in bubble wrap and put it in a solid plastic container!! before packing it into your suitcase to avoid damage.

Important:
All necklaces  and brooches contain magnets. Do not wear a necklace or a brooch if you carry a peacemaker or any other medical device that could be interfered by magnets!
